Jennifer from Belle la Mere Crochet writes:  I am one of the newer photography prop shops on the block but I am definitely not new to crocheting!  I taught myself how to crochet about 10 years ago when I found out I was going to be an aunt for the first time.  I have made a few things here and there throughout the years but I really didn’t spend a lot of time on it until last October when I was inspired by some successful prop shops on Etsy.  I decided to start my own shop crocheting photography props and I have found it very rewarding.  I absolutely love what I do!

I know some photographers go for a simple and clean look and don’t like to use many props.  I will tell you that having a large collection of props can really help grow your newborn photography business.  Selling the same pose to a client can be a lot easier if the baby is wearing different hats, headbands, or lying in a cocoon.  Don’t forget, clients love props too!  I have heard of clients selecting their photographer based on their prop stash!  Isn’t it also fun buying all of that cute, cuddly, newborn goodness?

Jennifer is a military wife and the mother of a rambunctious 2 year old boy.  They are stationed in Germany and when she is not crocheting, she is traveling through Europe taking in the beautiful rolling hills with her family.”
