About Bittersweet Design Boutique
Based out of Austin, TX, Bittersweet provides photographers with unique design solutions and photo card templates that allow creative professionalsto expand the line of products offered to their clients.
After leaving my university’s design program a little early (I was just trying to get ahead of the game,*wink wink*), I moved from Oklahoma to Austin, Texas in search of my dream job. Reality set in very quickly, as this so-called “dream job” was nowhere to be found.
While browsing the Craigslist ads one afternoon, I noticed a local photographer’s need for a second shooter. I was captivated by their beautiful images and knew that I wanted to somehow be a part of it all. Just HOW I was going to do this, I wasn’t quite sure, since I was a designer–not a photographer, but something told me to go for it anyway. On a whim, I made a quick phone call to Jona of Forever Photography Studio and learned that I was the only person to call out of the hundreds of email responses that they received. Not only that, but she actually wanted to meet with me! Several cups of coffee later, I was designing photography goodies and marketing resources instead of second shooting, which was exactly what I had hoped for all along. It didn’t take long before other photographers started contacting me about my work, and Bittersweet was born.
Currently, my main focus lies in creating customizable templates for photographers. All of my templates can be used for just about any occasion, as versatility is a key ingredient in all of my designs. This flexibility allows you to easily transform a baby announcement into a save the date, holiday card, or marketing piece.

About Rose: Rose is a big believer in setting goals and following her dreams. After moving to Austin, she found a passion for the photography industry and started her own business in 2009 at the age of 24. Sincethen, she has run Bittersweet Design Boutique out of her home office with her boyfriend and their two Boston Terriers, Pepperoni and Meatball.
